Trentino is an Alpine wonderland in the heart of the Italian Dolomites, including a foothold on Lake Garda. Dominating the skyscape are the transcendent Dolomites, a Unesco World Heritage site. From smooth skiing to seductive resorts, Trentino spells temptation.
Dubbed the world’s loveliest winter playground, the Dolomites do not disappoint. Ski days are spent among the stark peaks, with cobalt skies segueing into apricot-hued sunsets. With their wintry pinnacles and towering spires, the Dolomites are famed for the dazzling enrosadira effect, when the dying rays bathe the jagged mountains in a rosy glow. And that's before the après-ski gets going. After a few grappa-fuelled evenings in our boisterous bars, few skiers would party anywhere else.
For winter visitors, the snow-sure resorts are stylish rather than snooty, cosy rather than blasé. From rustic Alpine inns to Michelin-starred gourmet haunts, our restaurants are atmospheric, unstuffy, and great value. And that's before sampling the Italian après-ski, the partying in chic bars and ski huts. You'll be fortified by grappa, the local firewater, as well as Marzemino, Mozart’s favourite wine, and Trentodoc, the top sparkling wine "metodo classico" in Italy.
Most resorts cater for non-skiers, including spa-lovers content to view the spectacular sunset from a cool bar. Indulge in Christmas markets, sleigh rides, snowshoe trails, tours of wine cellars – and our great museums. Come and see our slopes for yourself - whether you’re a champion skier or a champion couch-potato.
