Day 1: Flight to Barcelona.
Check-in at your local airport at least 90 minutes before the scheduled departure time of your flight to Barcelona. Upon arrival transfer included to your selected hotel in Barcelona. Spend the rest of the day enjoying the hustle and bustle of the Catalan capital. Overnight in Barcelona.
Day 2: Barcelona-Lleida.
This morning you begin touring Catalonia by train. Departure from Barcelona-Sants station by AVE High-Speed train destination Lleida, the capital of the hinterlands. The extremely comfortable train will take about an hour to reach Lleida. Built around a hill crowned by the Old cathedral, it is a city with a long history dating to pre-Muslim times. You cannot miss the old cathedral and old quarter, and follow the “Ruta Monumental” to stroll around all city highlights. Excellent “Museu Diocesà” boasts a great collection of old religious art. Night in Lleida.
Day 3: Lleida-Tarragona.
You can spend the morning shopping or touring Lleida. Around noon you will take an AVE High-Speed train to Tarragona, a quick journey of around 30 minutes. You will stop at “Camp de Tarragona” high-speed station, ca. 12 Km. from city center (by shuttle bus or taxi). Tarragona, capital of southern Catalonia, has a long history from the Roman times of old “Tarraco”. It´s heritage is so amazing that Tarraco has been declared World Heritage by Unesco. Night in Tarragona.
Day 4: Tarragona.
Today you will have a full day to further visiting Tarragona. You cannot miss the site of Tarraco, to visit the old roman heritage, specially the spectacular amphitheater. Also you cannot miss the city's cathedral. But Tarragona is not only a historical town, but also a ravishing modern capital by the sea. If you visit the city in summer, you can enjoy excellent beaches. Anytime of the year you can enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere visiting the “Serrallo” a typical fishermen neighborhood. The city is also an excellent place to savour mediterranean cuisine at the harbour restaurants. Night in Tarragona.
Day 5: Tarragona-Girona.
Morning departure by AVE High-Speed train from “Camp de Tarragona” station destination Girona, in the north of Catalonia. The smooth journey will let you cross Catalonia in around 90 minutes. Upon arrival to Girona you will certainly fall in love with this city, easily one of Europe's most charming small town. The capital of the Costa Brava region is a great place to stroll, shop, eat and drink. Night in Girona.
Day 6: Girona.
Today you will have a full day to further visiting Girona. The most impressive building in the city is the Cathedral. Mixing different styles and periods (XI to XVIII centuries) it stands out as the largest Gothic nave in the world. The city is also proud of its well-preserved medieval Jewish Quarter, the old “Call” a great place to get lost wandering around cobbled streets. You cannot miss a visit to the XII century “Arabic baths”, inspired by old roman baths they are probably best preserved in the world. We also recommend a walk along the walls to have a nice view of the city. Do not forget to cross the Onyar River bridges to enjoy the views of the famous colored houses, the most iconic image of the city. Night in Girona.
Day 7: Girona-Barcelona.
Morning departure by AVE High-Speed train from Girona to Barcelona-Sants train station. The comfortable non-stop journey takes less than 40 minutes. Barcelona, the Catalan capital, is known worldwide and has become one of the most visited cities in the world. Enjoy what's left of this day to start enjoying the city. Night in Barcelona.
Day 8-9: Barcelona.
You will have two more full days to visit Barcelona. The city offers an endless range of possibilities. No matter what you have in mind, this city will always surprise you and give you just what you’re looking for. Make the most of your experience. As an included activity you have a ticket for 2 consecutive days on the Barcelona Tour Bus. Hop on and off wherever you choose, or relax and make a day of it by staying on the bus to do the whole route. Avoid the queues and visit Gaudí’s Sagrada Familia with an audio guide in your language. Walk along Las Ramblas or visit some of the most famous markets in the city such as La Boqueria. Walk along the old harbour from the Columbus Monument to the Barceloneta neighborhood. Traditional pleasure boats such Las Golondrinas depart from there. All in all you will spend 1+3 nights in Barcelona.
Day 10: Flight back home.
Free time until the designated time of your included transfer. You will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to the airport. Check-in and departure of your flight destination your local airport. Arrival and end of our services.
